Spooky Bats- Pairs and Singles

Today we talked about pairs and singles, as well as shapes, while we made our own Spooky Bats! Before we began our bat we were handed two triangles (that were cut from our soon-to-be bat wings) and asked to make a new shape or design with our two triangles. Some of us made a diamond, others claimed the two triangles looked like jack-o-lantern eyes or teeth! Then we talked about what kind of things come in pairs (eyes, ears, wings) and what kind of things come in singles (head, nose, mouth, bow).

To begin our bat we identified all of the shapes we would be working with (circles and triangles) and all of the pairs and singles we would be working on. Our end result was, as usual, adorable!
