London Underground
The past two days we have been working on our London Underground signs. We worked on following directions, circles, rectangles, and fine motor skills while painting our signs.
Adding a little literary flare with Harry Potter's Platform 9 3/4 Tube sign.
We had a chance to play with our soccer balls that we made the other day and found we had our very own Alex Morgan (USA Women's Olympic Soccer Player) on our hands! Signature pink headband and all!

Gooooooaaalll!
Today we worked with hexagons! Keeping with our Olympic theme (and one of Mrs. Burns' favorite sports) we made our own soccer balls out of balloons!

Going for Gold-Making Olympic Medals
Yesterday we began working on our Olympic Medals. We used this time to talk about the numbers "1", "2", and "3". We learned what it means to be "first", "second", or "third"; and we worked on our measuring skills. The project proved to be a messy one, but boy did we have fun! We made our medals out of salt dough and let them bake for 6 hours (opps...) but they turned out great!

Check back tomorrow to see our finished medals!
