George Washington Carver-Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

It's our last week of Black History month and we were excited to learn all about George Washington Carver today! He did a lot to improve farming and in the process he invented over 300 different ways to use peanuts. He earned the nickname "Plant Doctor" from those around him and revolutionized farming by introducing the idea of rotating crops to better use the soil. In celebrating of him we made our own peanut butter and jelly sandwiches- we were sure to sing the Peanut Butter Jelly  song as we worked on those and colored our own peanuts. Thanks George Washington Carver!

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these". - George Washington Carver
