Mr. President Barack Obama

We celebrated the end of Black History Month by studying our very own President, Mr. Obama! We learned about what it means to be the President of the United States and how much responsibility it must be! We learned he is in charge of our entire country and that he has a very important job to do everyday.

We had a lot of fun pretending to me Mr. Obama during our photo booth today! Check out our photos.

We have truly enjoyed our Black History Unit. Check out everyone we have studied this year:

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Clover

We are getting in the St. Patrick's Day spirit today by reading There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Clover! This activity reinforced sequencing, story retelling, fine motor control, and following directions.

Later we hit the gym for some fun activities and dancing!

Bessie Coleman

Today we continued our Black History Unit by studying Bessie Coleman. Ms. Coleman was the first African American woman to become a pilot, and the first African American person to earn an International Pilots license.

In her honor we made aviator goggles and our very own air plane. This activity helped build our fine motor control, color recognition, and following direction skills.
