We have been enjoying a bit of silly poetry as we work on rhyming words each day. Today we read a poem entitled Polkabats written by Calef Brown. Afterwards we made our own Polkabats while working on numbers and number sequencing. We were given 10 dots with a number on each from 1-10. We listened carefully to directions and found each number that was called out. Once we found it we placed it on our bats! This activity helped us with rhyming words, poetry, number recognition, counting, sequencing, following directions, and building fine motor control.
