Peace Doves - Martin Luther King Jr. Day

To honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day we talked about friendship and getting along with those around us. We talked about how even though we all like different things we still enjoy each other. A wise friend shared that the most important part of being a friend is learning to work together.

To celebrate peace we made our own very colorful Peace Doves out of our hand prints.

  1. Beautiful! I'm adding this to my MLK activities right now, thank you for the idea!

  2. Thank you for your comment! Best of luck with your project.

  3. Clever conversation piece to get the discussion going about peace and what that looks like at all levels, in a school, in our communities, in the world. I'll be adding this one to my MLK Day file. Thank you for sharing!

  4. I love this craft! I shared it on my blog (and of course gave you credit and linked back to you)! Thank you so much for this great idea!

  5. Thank you for sharing this beautiful craft idea! I teach PK 4 and this will help open up a beautiful discussion about peace and diversity on their level. Can't wait to do it with them! Blessings!
