On this chilly, and very windy day, we had a great time playing outside with our friends. We noticed all of the leaves flying off the trees and through the wind. We tried really hard to catch a few leaves which we later used in our project.
When we got back inside we practiced being the wind by putting our lips together and blowing. We do the same thing when we say words that begin with the letter W!
We each took a picture acting as the wind. Check it out below.
Enjoy your weekend!
Love this!

Wow! What cute pictures! I wish I was still teaching! Perhaps I can use this idea with my 2 year olds in Bible class. God is like the wind. We can't see the wind, but we can see the leaves blowing on the wind. We can't see God, but we can see all the beautiful things He made. I know it's an abstract concept, but if they hear it enough and have their picture blowing the leaves, they will have a foundation on which to build.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! I like this 🙂

ReplyDeleteOne of our teachers did something similar..children blowing heartd for mother's day.....like the wind idea!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how to preserve the leaves so they don't dry and crumble?
ReplyDeleteBack in the 70's when I was an assistant I pre-treated leaves at home by dipping them in hot, melted paraffin. By now there surly modern art media. Mod Podge or something similar maybe?
DeleteUse artificial leaves if you want to frame the project.
ReplyDeleteSilk leaves! I love your idea!
