Happy Halloween!! What a fun day!

Letter Monsters

Today we made the first letter of our names into a Letter Monster! Before we made our monster we talked about the first letter of all of our classmates' names. We discussed what sounds each letter make as well as came up with a list of words for each letter. After that we made our letters into fun monsters! This activity reinforced letter sounds and fine motor skills.

 

Sequencing Trick or Treating Style

With the excitement of Halloween just a couple days away we thought it was a great time to talk about the sequencing of Trick or Treating! We talked about what needs to happen first, then, next, and finally. First we would need to put on our costumes, then we would knock on a door, next we would say "Trick or Treat", and finally we would get candy and say "Thank you". After we put all of our sequence cards in order we made our own sequence scene for Trick or Treating.
