Threaded Hearts & Photo Booths

We worked hard on our fine motor skills to make our pretty laced hearts. We worked on the concept of "through" while threading our hearts!

First we painted our hearts....

Then we laced our hearts by going "through" and "around" our hearts with our strings.

Later we did a Valentine's Photo Booth!

G is for Groundhog

G is for Groundhog...and so much more! Today we read Ten Grouchy Groundhogs, a story about a bunch of fun groundhogs preparing for their trip out on Groundhog Day. Each set of Groundhogs has a great G descriptive word. We used our favorite to describe our very own. We made a shadow out of our groundhogs, then decorated them with our chosen "G"!

This activity was helped us with our letter sounds, descriptive language, fine motor control, and following directions.

First we painted around our groundhogs to create our shadows.

Olympics!-Working with the Number 11--Going Skiing!

Today we worked with the number 11 during our Olympics Theme! 11 can be written with two big lines. After we made our 11, we played around to see if we could make any other numbers or letters with two big lines. We found out we could make a T, V, an X, and even an L!

To make our study on the number 11 even more interested we made our 11 into skis! We learned a little bit about the sport and made ourselves, and our number of 11, into a great skier!

This activity helped with number concepts, building background knowledge, letter and number formations, fine motor control, and following directions.
