Color Sight Words & Sorting

Today we took advantage of this heatwave and tried up-cycle some of our crayons! We reviewed color sight words (pink, purple, green, oranges, blue, yellow, brown, and red). Afterwards we took turns sorting and placing a number of broken crayons with their like colors. Then we set out tins out in the sun to bake! Surprisingly, they will need one more day in the heat before they are ready to use! Check back tomorrow.

Almost there; one more day should do it!

How to Be An Everyday Superhero

Superheros are a big deal these days! Today we talked about how we could be a Superhero to someone any day. As a group we came up with big things we can do each day to help those around us. A couple of our favorite ones include opening the door for people carrying things, give a friend a hug if they are said, picking up our toys, and listening to our parents and teachers. It's the best way to be a Superhero!

After we talked about what it takes to be a Superhero we created ourselves as one! This activity helped us with fine motor control, color identification, social intelligence, and following directions, all while having some fun!
