Making Wishes (Dandelion Seeds)

We have been talking a lot about spring and the earth over the past month. Today we revisited one of our favorite flowers, the dandelion! We talked about how the dandelion spreads its seeds and how much fun we can have in helping that happen! This activity allowed us to work on following verbal directions, fine motor control, gross motor control, facial movements, counting, color recognition, letter sounds, and the concept of seeds. We had a lot of fun with this one! Enjoy!

First we had to be models! We talked about what it looks like to blow out candles or to blow bubbles on the playground.

Our teachers helped us cut ourselves out! We then glued our blowing faces to our papers.

Next we glued down our dandelion stems and seeds!

A Little Much Needed Fun!

We have been working so hard the past few weeks that we needed to kick our feet up and have a good time! We did all of our work today and then earned a little extra time on the playground. We have been loving the warmer weather and can't wait until the summer weather is here to stay!

Even the ladybugs wanted out to play....we found one on Ava's plant pot!

Had to include all the "kids"! ;)

Planting Seeds

We planted our very own seeds today! We talked about what a seed needs to grow. We are looking forward to watering our seeds each day, and making sure they get lots of sunshine to grow big and strong.

Happy Earth Day 2013

Happy Earth Day! Many of our learning activities have been Earth Day themed this month, so it was only fitting we do the most fun one on actual Earth Day! We continued working on building our skills of shape naming, color recognition, following directions, and fine motor control.  We had a good time being a little silly while we made a tiny versions of our selves holding the whole world in our arms!

We hope you enjoyed our Earth Day Project! If you would like to be updated on what we are doing each day, enter your email address to the right of the screen. You will receive updates via email each morning, following a post.
